The War on Drugs has created a vacuum of information regarding the immense black market surrounding cannabis prohibition. In the pursuit of the public interest, Hotbox Magazine is creating Tokenomics, a cannabis market pricing information tool.

We've updated the project to better make use of technology; please see:

dope1While standing in line at my favorite shop De Dampkring, I couldn't help but notice that the Diesel box was filled for the first time since I can remember. I asked the guy behind the counter, and he told me that he'd finally found another grower. I asked to smell it, and when I smelled the 50g box, …

Strain Review: Hempstar Haze
Lifestyle - Strain Reviews

I've had a huge thing against Hempstar the last while; it seems I can't buy an ounce in this city without the crop containing at least some of those sleepy, stony genetics. For someone who prizes a very clairvoyant intellectual "up" high, this has resulted in two months of minimal productivity, at best.

So imagine my sheer glee when I was served with yet another Hempstar strain, this one with Haze genetics.

I haven't smoked much Haze, so I can't give you a comparison to the pure strain, but it's quite different from the last few Hempstar-based batches I've had, which were mixed with Diesel and Kush. The Kush especially was bad, I don't think I've had such enormously powerful munchies since... Well, last Sunday...

The Haze hybid isn't much better munchie-wise, but it's certainly better from a productivity standpoint. One Volcano bag is usually sufficient and two will most definitely give you an effect, however, it isn't so overwhelmingly heavy that you're unable to do anything. It's also fairly long-lasting, which is a nice change from the other two hybrids mentioned.

It comes in enormous nugs (the biggest one I got was a respectable 9.5g) and is extremely fragrant, with fruity undertones. The nugs are medium-hard and grind big. I'd recommend it for moderate levels of pain relief without too much narcotic hangover.
